Again, we have our stop-over at the entrance of the town of Abra where you will pass thru a tunnel. Before that there is a park they called Abra Welcome Park Complex with a big horse welcoming you that you are now entering the town of Abra. Riding the horse was our heroine Gabriela Silang, the First Filipino Woman to lead a revolt against the Spanish Colonizers. From her base in Abra, she launched many successful raids against the Spanish Army in Ilocos. She died at the age of 32 only to live forever in the hearts of all Filipinos. The people of Abra honor this magnificent woman who proved that gender is not a hindrance to greatness.
We arrived at my In-Laws place around 6 p.m. It was a tiring day but missing those persons who are dear to you make you feel relax. That night, together with my mga "bayaw" we have "inuman".
The following day, Holy Wednesday, my bro-in-law Jong invited us to eat our breakfast somewhere to try their "Maming may Sabaw". There were so many customers waiting and lining-up to get their specialty. In fairness, it was tasty and delicious.
After that we fetched the mother of Manet and went to a new hotel who was still needs finishing but their swimming pool is already operational. We wanted to have swimming that day but the place was already reserved for a reunion.
Every time I go to Abra we always visit the Victoria Park...a place where a very big image of Mama Mary can be seen. When you're up there you will see the whole Abra.
